Tuyuq is a site where coexist various culture and various religions since ancienttimes, and where has its own characteristics of religious evolution and development.In history, in this place in addition to the shamanism, also popular the Buddhism,zoroastrianism, manichaeism, Taoism, Islam and other religions. Religion as a kindof ancient philosophy, culture and art form, is also an ancient and widespreadcultural phenomenon in the mankind history, and variety of religious culture has notonly left a different mark within the nation of the region, but also the political,economic, culture, art and so on are produced extensive and profound influence.While MoBei HuiGu moved to Gaochang take the manichaeism to this area and let itbe state religion. At that time Buddhism has spread to here, from then on peacefulcoexistence phenomenon happened between Buddhism and manichaeism, when theIslam spread, although manichaeism disappeared in the region, but residents’ dailylife in the region have already kept profound effect and other imprinting legacy to thepresent. To sum up, the existence of a various religious culture, evolution and blendeach other, help to the development and prosperity of culture, coordinate and dealwith the relationship between the various religion, to further promote the religion andreligious activities to adapt themselves to socialist society.Tuyuq as famous religious sites inside and outside of xinjiang, also known asthe crossroads of civilization villages, it also as blending of diverse religions, mazarand Buddhism rock caves are not only witnessed the evolution of a variety ofreligious, the villagers also have faith shamanism and Buddhism, zoroastrianism,nestorianism, manichaeism, Islam and other religions have to religion the most activeand developed regions of the world. Moreover, according to Tuyuq villageconstruction and people’s life custom, we can see the trace of nestorianism andzoroastrianism, this suggests that aftethe introduction of Islam to Tuyuq r, althoughthere are no more of these religions, but in People’s Daily life, are often faced withthe trace of these religions. As for Tuyuq grottoes, in the eastern cape the largest andearliest buddhist grottoes, is also important buddhist sites of the ancient silk road.Hole inside the according to the caves and frescoes we also can found some contentabout manichaeism, and these caves and frescoes has immeasurable historical andartistic value in study Chinese buddhist culture, buddhist art history, architecture,historical basis and object information.This paper mainly discusses the religious evolution of Tuyuq as starting pointfor to discuss the cause of a formation and coexist of various religious culture in Tuyuq, the traces of Ashabul kahif legend and three kinds of religious culture inmodern uyhgur life, etc. Some problems as the research focus. This paper is dividedinto five chapters, the first chapter is the introduction, the research both at home andabroad, the basic literature, research methods and research significance,etc. Chaptertwo geographical location of Tuyuq, the source of "Tuyuq" this place name, currentsituation of Tuyuq and whether the Ashabul kahif is one place with Tuyuq. The thirdchapter mainly discusses the spread of buddhist, manichaeism and Islam in the theTuyuq. The fourth chapter specifically discusses the formation, development andevolution of a various religious culture, and cause of various religious culture coexistin the Tuyuq and so on a series of problems. Chapter five the author collect somearchaeological data, folk information, oral data and based on field investigationspecific discuss on of the left marks on people’s life custom and other issues of threereligions such as Buddhism, manichaeism, islamic home culture in the modernTuyuq by practical examples.
