From the view of mythology, solar myth is a worldwide myth motif; it’s also animportant part in our mythology of the remote ages. The aim of this paper is to researchthe origin and development of solar myth in the remote ages of China, and toreconstruct the model of the myth of the solar cycle.This text is divided into four parts, and the second to third parts are the main parts.Let’s introduce it as follows: The first part is “Introduction”, including “LiteratureReview”,“research significance”,“research methods and key points of content”,“Feasibility Argumentation”.The second part is “The Origin and Development of the Myth of ‘Sun--Swallow’”. This part is divided into three small parts: the aim of the first small part isto research the motivations which lead to the emergence and development of myth of‘Sun--Swallow’ from the point view of nature and Anthropology; the aim of the secondsmall part is to research the origin and development of the sunbird which has three legs;the aim of the second small part is to research the reason why the sunbird named “JinWu”.The third part is “The research of the myth of the solar cycle”. This part isdivided into two small parts: the aim of the first small part is to prove that in the conceptof our ancestors they believed that the sun and the moon are the same plant; the aim ofthe second small part is to reconstruct the model of the myth of the solar cycle.The fourth part is “Conclusion”, summarizing the main points of this text.
