| English education in the teaching has been valued highly by Chinese government,especially with the speeding up of the globalization process, English as a communicationmethod, plays an important role. In current society, mastering professional skills and oralEnglish speaking is needed, but now many vocational graduates. Their English can not meet therequirements of career. Influenced by the traditional teaching mode, the higher vocationalstudents is lack of interest of English learning, and lack of confidence in speaking English. Tocultivate competitive vocational talents, we need to change the traditional teaching mode andactively search for a method that is suitable for higher vocational college to learn oral English.The purpose of this paper is to explore cooperative study ‘s timeliness in application in theclass of vocational students in English professional study, and whether or not to improvestudents’ oral English score, and inspire students’ enthusiasm in studying English, and enhancestudents’ team cooperation ability and improve students’ comprehensive skilled use of language.The research object of this study selected two classes of business English major of grade2011from the Zhou Kou vocational and technical college, they are divided to No.1101and No.1102, the number of two class is equal, they are28people, Experimental period is one year, inthe experimental class using cooperative learning group method, the time is one year as well, thecomparative class’ s teaching method remains the same. Experimental class of students is putinto seven groups, according to the principle of the heterogeneity in one group and the similarbetween groups, four students as one group one top student, two middle students, and onedifference student. The evaluation standard is decided by team’s overall performance.Experimental tools are speaking test rating scale. Before the experiment, two classes for thespoken English test, test result shows that experimental class and control class before that therewas no significant difference in oral English achievement; Experiment is divided into two stages,each stage separately in the spoken language test evaluation component testing, in order to makethe results scientifically, using SPSS16.0software for data analysis, and then compare theexperimental classes and grades with the comparative classes, to prove that it is feasible that theeffectiveness of group cooperative learning method, and team cooperation type of oral Englishteaching is to improve the initiative enthusiasm of their oral English ability and creativity ofstudents. |
