Objects: From the aspects of emotional cognitive psychology, This studyconduct a cognitive strategy intervention of inhibition dysfunction for negativeinformation in depressed individuals. Thus, we expect to eliminate the inhibitionfunction for negative information in depressed individuals. Methods: By Using Self-Report Depression Scale(CES-D) and Beck DepressionInventory(BDI),the study filtered out the normal group and the depressed individualsas experimental subjects, choosed the emotional words and emotional face pictures asexperimental material. The study contained2(group: depressed individual, normalgroup)×3(experimental training conditions: independent condition, the positivesubstitute condition, the negative substitute condition)×3(the number of repeatdisplaying:0,2,4times) three-factor random experimental design. By using theThink/No Think training strategy, the study eliminated depressed individuals’inhibition function for negative emotion.Results:(1) In the experiment of emotional words (emotional face pictures), thenormal group and the depressed group showed significant forgotten in negative targetwords (target emotional face pictures).(2)Compared to the training of the independent condition, the normal group anddepressed group which in the substitute condition all showed significant forgotten innegative material.(3)In the cognitive strategy intervention, compared to normal group, depressedgroup showed baseline forgotten only in substitute condition.(4) In the cognitive strategy intervention, whether normal group or depressedgroup, the forgotten of negative material was stable.(5) In the experimental training of the emotional words, whether normal group ordepressed group, their forgotten of negative words had no significant difference.Conclusions:(1) Depressed individuals’ inhibition dysfunction for negativeinformation could be changed by a certain cognitive strategy.(2) Compared to the training of the independent condition, the normal group anddepressed group which in the substitute condition all showed significant forgotten innegative material.(3) By learning this cognitive strategy, the subjects’ forgotten of negativematerial was stable.
