Cui Shiguang, one of the most influential Chinese pianists and composers in modern time.The music language in his work is very rich and distinctive. Nationalization is the core of themusic which he composed.“Symphonic Rhapsody For Piano And Orchestra—poems andpoetic Dramas of the CHU\HAN Legend” is a influential masterpieces of Chinese piano music incontemporary. It shows the spirit of continuous exploration and innovation of the contemporarycomposer.The dissertation is divided into three chapters. From the perspective ofcomposition, do a multi-directional inquiry. The first chapter is devoted to the life andcreative career of the composer. Then make a brief overview for the work. The secondchapter is the central part of this dissertation. It investigates the musical materialsused in the music, including themes, rhythm, harmony, intensity and texture materials.Chapter Ⅲ made a summary of composition techniques for the music. I hope thistopic can provoke us to explore and think about “roots culture”, and give us moreinspiration and revelation in the creation of technology.
