A Study Of The Journalist Cheng Cangbo In The Republic Of China

This paper analyses the ideological dilemma and social dilemma of intellectualsand journalists first, and then leads the research to the journalist Cheng Cangbo in theRepublic of China.The paper analyses the cultural background,the socialbackground,the family and education background of Cheng Cangbo;and then it drawsthe journalistic development path of Cheng Cangbo. Though the journalisticdevelopment path,the articles and the experience of Cheng Cangbo;the paper analysesCheng Cangbo’s journalistic thoughts and opinions. Research finds that:as a journalistof Chinese Nationalist Party,Cheng Cangbo was bound by rules of ChineseNationalist Party and must preserve the benefit of Chinese Nationalist Party;butactually he took more care about freedom of information, the entrepreneurialoperation and management of the newspaper and his other journalistic opinions.Research indicates that:Cheng Cangbo did something wrong to preserve the imageand benefit of Chinese Nationalist Party,but he also tried his best to propagandize andvindicate freedom of information,freedom of speech and the entrepreneurial operationand management of the newspaper.And what he did for the development of thenewspaper industry is valuable and progressive in his time.
