In order to explore child’rens perseveration error phenomenon in the DCCS task, we usethe Dimension Change Card Sort task (DCCS task) paradigm to make children complete thenew version of DCCS task.In study I, children aged3-5were selected as subjects which include305valid ones. Andtwo types of perseveration error in DCCS task were analyzed, using the Crosstabs into thenumber of perseveration error and the number of pass-fail task use; In study II, children whodid not pass the task in study I were chosen as subjects, including206valid ones. They weredivided into control group, feedback group, dimension label group, repeated instruction groupand irrelevant question group according to the effecting factor. And we got the conclusion bythe way of Crosstabs on the type of perseveration of inter-aged group, and the number ofinner-aged group of subjects who had passed and not passed in4groups of experimentalgroup and controlled group. The results suggested that:(1)There is no significant gender difference in Children;(2)There are two types of perseveration error among children aged3-5―dimensionperseveration error and dimension value perseveration error, and as the age increased, thenumber of the two types of perseveration error will decreased. And the dimensionperseveration number of people is significantly greater than the dimension valueperseveration number of people;(3)The feedback of experimenters could improve the sorting level of children aged4;(4)There is no significant diff’erence on childrens perseveration error while childrenrepresent the targeted card’s relevant dimension, be feedbacked after they sort cards, putirrealated question during peirods and repeat the instruction;(5)The age4of children is the cirtical period in developing the ability of sorting.
