Objective:To discuss the mechanism of Jiawei Qingyi Decoction in prevention of the post-ERCP pancreatitis and the Takadiastase blood sickness.Methods:125 patients in micro surgical center of the first hospital affili-liated to HuNan University of TCM during 2006,1 to 2008,3 were divid-ed into three groups in random (the Chinese herb group, the Aoqutai gr-oup and the controlled group). After the operation,to compare their clini-cal symptoms and syndroms integration, blood and urinary amylase, CRP, IL-10 and the occurrence rate of the post-ERCP pancreatiis and the Taka-diastase blood sickness.Results:①There were statistical significance(p<0.05) of symptoms and syndroms integration in the Chinese group and the Aoqutai group compa-red to the controlled group after 24 hours of the operation, however no statistical significance (p>0.05) after 48 hours of the operation.②There were obvious statistical significance (p<0.01) of the blood amylase after 4 hours and 24 hours between the Chinese herb group and the Aoqutai gro-up compared to the controlled group respectively. There were statistical significance (p<0.05) of the urinary amylase after 24 hours and 48 hours between the Chinese herb group and the Aoqutai group compared to the controlled group respectively.③There were obvious statistical significan-ce(p<0.01) of CRP after 24 hours of the operation between the Chinese herb group and the Aoqutai group compared to the controlled group resp-ectively; obvious statistical significance (p<0.01) of the IL-10 after 24 hours of the operation between the Chinese herb group and the controlled group; statistical significance (p<0.05) between the Chinese herb group and the Aoqutai group.④The occurrence rate of the PEP and the Taka-diastase blood sickness among the Chinese herb group, the Aoqutai group and the controlled group was 2.56%,0,11.36% and 28.2%,21.83%, 56.82% respectively. Conclusions:The Jiawei Qingyi Decoction could improve the symptom and symdrom of the post-ERCP patients; increase the IL-10 rate, restrain the inflammation reaction, reduce the blood and the urinary amylase rate after the operation, decrease the incidence of the Takadiastase blood sick-ness, however couldn’t prevent the occurrence of the PEP.
