Sesquiterpene Lactone Combination is composed of Bilobalide(BB) and Ginkgolide C (GC). nature produces extrracted from the leaf of Ginkgo biloba.L. We conclude that Sesquiterpene Lactone Combination strongly and specifically inhibits edema formation induced by brain ischemia. And it has multiple mechanisms of action that may be associated with neuroprotection.Firstly, according to Sesquiterpene Lactone Combination raw medicine production-techniques and sturcutre characteristic of Bilobalide and Ginkgolide C . scientific experiments had been done to estbalish the quality standard of Sesquiterpene Lactone Combination raw medicine. The sutdy was emphasized on character, identification, examination and content determination.Secondly, considering that the durg is sparingly soluble in water, we optimized the formulation and process of Sesquiterpene Lactone Combination freeze-dried power for injection with the index of the compactibility and dissolubility. Based on the study above, the optimal formulation and process were determined. The result showed that the preparation formulation and process were reasonable . Excipient selected dextran 40 that didn’t interfere with contents determination of Bilobalide and Ginkgolide C . In the meantime, we studied on the preparation’s quality control and established its quality standard.The formulation and process of Sesquiterpene Lactone Combination freeze-dried power for injection was prepared. And quality standard of Sesquiterpene Lactone Combination raw medicine and its preparation were formulated. No report about them was found. Above experimental conclusions provided lab data of Sesquiterpene Lactone Combination freeze-dried power for injection for preclinical and clinic study.
