Objective To evaluate the relationship between contrast-enhanced ultrasound quantitative and qualitative characteristics of cervical cancer and prognostic factors. Methods Thirty-five patients with pathologically confirmed cervical cancer were enrolled in this retrospective analysis. All the patients accepted contrast-enhanced ultrasound examination before the surgery. Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of ki-67、p16 and p53 in all the cervical cancers after the surgery. The characteristics of cervical cancer and surrounding tissue were compared, and the relationship between contrast-enhanced ultrasound features and tumor diameter, lymph node metastasis, histologic grade and the expression of ki-67、p16 and p53 were analyzed.Results(1)Compared to the surrounding normal tissue, the cervical cancer had statistically significant differences in time to peak(TTP)and peak intensity(PI)(P<0.05).( 2) The ratio of perfusion defect and heterogeneous enhancement were significantly higher in theki-67、p53 and p16 positive, poorly differentiated or larger tumors( ≥ 2.0 cm in diameter)(P < 0.05).( 3) Compared to the negative group, time-intensity curve analysis showed that the peak intensity of the ki-67、p16 and p53 positive group was higher, respectively, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)The peak intensity of poorly differentiated cervical cancers was significantly higher than that of the other groups(P<0.05).Conclusions The contrast-enhanced ultrasound could fully display the blood perfusion of lesions and better reflect the infiltration ranges of the lesions.Enhancement patterns and parameters of contrast-enhanced ultrasound were associated with pathologic index prognosis, which may be useful in noninvasive prediction of the patients with cervical cancers. |
