Curative Effect Analysis Of Open Reduction And Internal Fixation Of Distal Radius Fractures

Objectives Analysing the relationship between the radiographic score,clinical prognosis and multiple factors through a retrospective research analysis of open reduction and internal fixation of distal radius fractures,to find out the influencing factors of clinical prognosis and to analysis the correlation of two scoring systems.Methods 73 cases of patients with distal radius, who met the inclusion criteria, hospitalized in our hospital during the period of 2008-01 to2013-06.All of them had preoperative and postoperative X-ray,51 cases of them had preoperative CT examination. We analysed the preoperative X-ray and CT examination with our imaging system and typed the fracture according to AO classification system.Measuring the palmar tilt,inclination,and the height of radial on postoperative X-ray.Then observing whether the postoperative articular surface was flat, whether the fracture fragments rotated and whether the distal radioulnar joint was dislocation or subluxation. We scored the results according to the Batra imaging scoring system.All the selected patients gave telephone follow-up and scored the results according to Lidstrom scoring system.73 patients were grouped according to sex, age, left or right, AO type, concomitant injuries, plate type, internal fixation removal and proceed statistical analysis.Evaluating the relationship between clinic prognosis and various factors.Results All 73 patients achieved bone healing.According to Batra imaging scoring system,67 of them achieved good results.The relationship among sex, age, left or right, AO type, concomitant injuries, internal fixation removal and the results of Batra imaging scoring system were determined by using chi-square test and no significant difference was seen between the groups except the plate type.But there is no significant difference in multi-factor regression analysis.According to Lidstrom scoring system,63 of the 73 patients achieved good results.The relationship among sex, age, left or right, AO type, concomitant injuries,plate type,internal fixation removal and the results of Lidstrom scoring system were determined by using chi-square test. Significant difference was seen between the groups of age, AO type and plate type.But there is no significant difference in multi-factor regression analysis.Conclusions Distal radius fractures can obtain good curative effect after surgical treatment.Plate type is controllable factors affecting Batra imaging score results, rather than independent factors.Age, fracture type and plate type is the controllable factors influencing the wrist joint function after surgery for patients, rather than independent factors.Under the action of plate type and age, the positive correlation exists between the two scoring systems.
