According to the 2010 version volume one of “Chinese Pharmacopoeia”, Arisaema Cum Bile are processed product which were processed from processed Arisaematis Rhizoma power with the bile of cattle, sheep or pig, or fermented by Arisaematis Rhizoma power with the bile of cattle, sheep or pig. Arisaema Cum Bile have the effects of removing heat to eliminate phlegm, dispelling pathogenic wind and anti shock convulsion. Using for phlegm heat, cough, coughing up yellow and viscous phlegm, stroke phlegm, madness, epilepsy. For the past few years, a lot of researches on the toxicology, pharmacodynamics, quality standard of Arisaema Cum Bile, but what is the potency substance related to traditional efficiency still have not been understood absolutely. Arisaema Cum Bile still have not check items and content determination item in the 2010 version volume one of “Chinese Pharmacopoeia” and its quality evaluation standard is not perfect and complete yet.This paper established the identification method of thin layer chromatogram of cholic acid constituents of Arisaema Cum Bile, with cyclohexane-ethylacetate-glacial acetic acid(11:3:2) for the mobile phase, with 10% vitriol ethanol solvent as chromogenic reagent, heated at 105℃ until the spots are clear. After the unfolding, the separation effect is good and the Rf value of four spots are moderate. Four chemical components were selected by the result of early literature research, included total flavonoid, total polysaccharide, nucleosides and cholic acid. Methods for the determination on the quantitation of the four chemical components in Arisaema Cum Bile were established by ultraviolet spectrophotometry and high performance liquid chromatography. The methodology validation which show that those methods were precise, stable, accurate and had good reproducibility and the determination of total flavonoid, total polysaccharide, nucleosides and cholic acid content of samples were proceeded as well.According to the appendix below items of 2010 version volume one of “Chinese Pharmacopoeia”, this work determined moisture, total ash, acid insoluble ash and extraction of 20 batches of Arisaema Cum Bile and formulate its limitation which is proposed that shall not be more than 10% of moisture, 10% of total ash, 1% of acid insoluble ash and less than 35% of extraction based on experimental measurement data.The quantitation data of total flavonoid, total polysaccharide, nucleosides and cholic acid show that it is significantly different among different batches, and it is difficult to evaluate the quality of Arisaema Cum Bile by a kind of chemical composition content. As based on the quantitation data of the chemical components in Arisaema Cum Bile, such as, total flavonoid, total polysaccharide, nucleosides and cholic acid. According to the grey incidence degree numerical method of grey theory, to establish grey correlation model which is used to evaluate the quality of the Arisaema Cum Bile. According to definition of relative incidence degree, the relative incidence degree is positively correlated to the evaluation unit. Sorting of relative incidence degree of different batches samples of medicinal materials, namely for the sorting of the quality merits of different batches samples of medicinal materials.Grey incidence degree analysis method which is a kind of analysis method in grey system theory can find out the main influencing factor of the system from the uncompleted information. Grey incidence degree analysis method, which is a kind of effective and comprehensive evaluation method, have the advantages of simple operation and unlimited number of samples. This paper established a quality evaluation pattern which is based on grey recognition. Provide a synthetic multi-component evaluating method under the situation that the representative active components of Arisaema Cum Bile are indefinite. It provides a theoretical basis and experimental basis for the quality evaluation of Arisaema Cum Bile.
