Objective:To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and safety of limited endoscopic sphincterotomy plus balloon dilatation in the treatment of the common bile duct stones combined juxtapapillary diverticulum. Methods:Respecting the treatment of 87 cases with common bile duct stones combined juxtapapillary diverticulum in the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University,April 2015 to April 2011.38 patients as observation group were treated with limited EST plus EPBD(ESBD),and 49 patients conventional EST(EST) treatment as control.Rates of stone success, mechanical brokenstone, operating time and complications were observed. Results:Rate of stone success in treatment group was 94.7%(36cases),control group was95.9%(47cases).The rates of mechanical brokenstone were10.5%(4cases) and16.3%(8cases)in two groups. There was no significance(P>0.05) in two.Rates of complications were18.4%(7cases) and 44.9%(22cases) in two groups, the operating time were34.05±13.60 min and 40.51±8.99 min, there was statistical difference(P<0.05) in two. Conclusion:Limited endoscopic sphincterotomy plus balloon dilatation treatment common bile duct stones combined juxtapapillary diverticulum can reduce the rate of complications and shorten the time of operation.AS a safe and effective treatment,it is worthy of clinical application.
