Active Medical Implants(AMI) helps to achieve medical monitoring and treatment in human body, and has been widely used in the medical field. On the other hand, the continuous operation of implantable medical devices strongly relies on electric energy, and the service life of AMI is restricted by current battery technologies. Besides, the existing recharging methods of AMI are also difficult to meet the requirements of safety and long-term power supply. In view of the above problems, a method for recharging implantable medical devices based on solar radiation is proposed in this thesis, and the simulation and physical experiments are carried out. The main works can be described as follows:(1) The models of AMI energy supply based on solar radiation are developed, which include sunlight source model, wearable optical system model, skin tissue model and photocell model. What is more, the distance between Fresnel lens and the human skin tissue is determined by TracePro simulation.(2) The simulation method of AMI energy supply based on solar radiation is proposed. And solar radiation parameters are analyzed, and the relative position of the Fresnel lens and the photocell is determined according to the energy distribution of sunlight on the surface of human skin tissue. Based on the Carlo Monte(MC) method, the transmission simulation of sunlight in human body is realized.(3) The simulation of AMI energy supply based on solar radiation is completed. And fluence rate distributions along x axis and z axis in fat layer, muscle layer and multi-layered skin tissue are gained. In addition, the energy distributions in multi-layered skin tissue are obtained. Finally, the simulation results provide basis for the physical experiment of AMI energy supply based on solar radiation.(4) The physics experiment of AMI energy supply based on solar radiation is developed. Then physical experiment is carried out using the experimental apparatus, and the experimental data and simulation results are compared and analyzed. This thesis proposes a method of AMI energy supply based on solar radiation, developes the models of AMI energy supply based on solar radiation, completes the simulation and analysis of the sunlight transmission in human skin tissues, and verifies the feasibility of AMI energy supply based on solar radiation. The obtained conclusions lay the research foundation for forming a convenient, durable, environment friendly AMI energy supply in vitro.
