| ObjectiveTo explore the value of saturated perineal prostate biopsy in the diagnosis of prostate cancer through contrasting the positive rate of saturated perineal prostate biopsy with transrectal prostate biopsy and contrasting the complications incidence of saturated perineal prostate biopsy with transrectal prostate biopsy. MethodsAccording to the PSA different interval, we contrasted the positive rate of saturated perineal prostate biopsy with transrectal prostate biopsy, the complications(gross hematuria, fever, retention of urine, bloody stools, vasovagal reflex, perineum discomfort) incidence of saturated perineal prostate biopsy with transrectal prostate biopsy, and then explored the security of saturated perineal prostate biopsy in the diagnosis of prostate cancer. ResultsCompared with transrectal prostate biopsy, the positive rate of saturated perineal prostate biopsy increased obviously in different PSA interval, especially with the patients that PSA level lower than 20ng/ml. According to the comparison of positive rate, we found that the positive rate of saturated perineal prostate biopsy was higher than transrectal prostate biopsy, with statistical difference. According to the comparison of complications incidence, we found that saturated perineal prostate biopsy was safety. It is a safe method of prostate biopsy. ConclusionSaturated perineal prostate biopsy is able to improve the positive rate of prostate biopsy, especially with the patients that PSA level lower than 20ng/ml. The complications(gross hematuria, fever and retention of urine) incidence of saturated perineal prostate biopsy is low. It is a safe and effective diagnostic method of prostate cancer. |
