Objective To study the Efficacy and safety of Wingspan stents when we treat symptomatic MCAs.Methods We reviewed 116 patients of MCAs who were all treated using Wingspan stents,Patient features, clinical manifestations, treatments, clinical and imaging follow-up data was collected and analyzed.Results 116 patients were succesfully treated(100% technical success rate) with Wingspan stents system. The mean degree of stenosis dropped from(72.1±9.4)% to(21.4±14.8)%.There were 5(4.3%) peri-procedural complications. 67 patients were available for a clinical follow-up. In 43.9months( range 19-88 months),4 patients(6.0%,4/67) experienced recurrent ischemic events. 51 patients were followed up with DSA or CTA. The mean imaging follow-up period was 9.1(range 2-36 months). 7 patients( 13.7%,7/51) were diagnosed with ISR, while 2 patients( 3.9%,2/51) were symptomatic ones.Conclutions The use of wingspan stents to treat MCAs patients are safe and effective,but we need individualized treatment. |
