objective Atrial fibrillation(AF) is the most common arrhythmia in clinical practice,while atrial fibrillation is a independent risk factor for ischemic stroke 。 This study aims to investigate among 336 hospitalized patients with atrial fibrillation by face to face questionnaire survey,to learn the cognition of hospitalized patients with atrial fibrillation about the risk of stoke and warning symptoms。Method On April 1, 2014 to October 1,2014 in department of cardiovascular of the second affiliated hospital of Chongqing medical university,in the hospital more than 3 days,a total of 336 diagnosed atrial fibrillation.A face to face investigation was conducted by trained interviewers.Results A total 300 participants completed the survey.131(43.7%)patients knew atrial fibrillation can increase the risk of stroke.Respondents’ awareness rate of the stroke warning signs was 31.3%-79.3%,only25.3%(76/300) respondents could identify all the warning signs of stroke.The ratio of calling 120 for stroke warning signs was41.7%58.7%,and only 31%(93/300)respondents that they would call 120 for all 5 stroke warning signs.Conclusion The patients with atrial fibrillation in our hospital have low knowledge level of the risk of stroke and the stroke warning signs.Theemergency consciousness of facing of sudden warning symptom of stroke is poor.Medical personnel need to intensify propaganda and education fou atrial fibrillation patients.
