Background Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells have a great application prospect in repairing the infarcted myocardium after acute myocardial infarction. However, their homing inefficiency and adverse microenvironment in infracted zone have limited the repairing effect. We can improve repairing effect through a ffecting their proliferation, migration and anti-apoptosis.Objective This study was to investigate the effect on rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells’ proliferation, migration and anti-apoptosis in different concentrations of salvianolic acid A and salvianolic acid B.Methods Rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells were isolated from rat’s femur and tibia and cultured and purified by adherence screening method. Drawing growth curves, observing their morphologic and examining CD29,CD34,CD44,CD45,CD90 on their surface was to identify the third generation cells. The bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells after treating with different concentration(0、0.1μmol/L、1μmol/L、10μmol/L) of salvianolic acid A and salvianolic acid B were tested their proliferation, migratio n and anti-apoptosis by CCK8、Transwell assay、Annexin V-FITC/PI stain. The better one was determined and explored the potential signal molecule. Results Rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells were acquired through adherence screening method. Salvianolic acid B could improve their proliferation, migration and anti-apoptosis. There was no significant difference between different concentrations. The corresponding concentration of salvianolic acid A only improved their anti-apoptosis. Salvianolic acid B promoted the rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells’ p Akt expression level. Conclusion Synthetically, the corresponding concentration of salvianolic acid B is better than Salvianolic acid A in improving rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells’ proliferation, migration and anti-apoptosis by activating Akt.
