Objective: To explore the clinical value of procalcitonin and C-reactive protein in early diagnosing of urosepsis, expect to diagnose the patient with urosepsis in time and cut off mortality rate by carrying out effective interventions. Methods: 132 urinary tract infections was selected from the urology of Qinghai Province People’s Hospital, they were divided into two groups according to Chinese Guidelines on Diagnosis and Management of Urological Diseases. The study group contains of 38 patients who are diagnosed with urosepsis, the control group contains of 94 patients who are diagnosed with non-sepsis urinary tract infections. Have a retrospective analysis of PCT, CRP, WBC and Neutrophils’ levels for two groups’ patients on the early stage of fever, compare difference between the study group and the control group. Draw the receiver operating curve of PCT, CPR by using Medcal15.2.2, calculate the area under cave and the best cutoff value of them, have a comparison of the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy between PCT and CRP.Results: The comparing result of the urosepsis group and the non-sepsis group indicated that the level of PCT, CRP, WBC and neutrophil in the study group are apparently high than the control group(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant. The ROC of PCT and CRP indicates that the best cutoff value is 1.76ng/ml、12.1mg/L, the AUC of them was respectively 0.976、0.861, the specificity in early diagnosing urosepsis was respectively 95.8%、92.1%, the sensitivity was respectively 88.3%、43.6%.Conclusion: 1. PCT and CRP have a greater clinical value for early diagnosis of urosepsis patients. 2. Serum PCT have a high specificity and sensitivity comparing with CRP, AUC value of PCT is greater than CRP, shows higher accuracy in early diagnosing urosepsis.
