Objective To explore the role Ankyrin-B played in myocardial fibrosis and its possible molecular pathway.Methods Atrial fibrillation model induced by chronic rapid atrial pacing, and set up the control group. By Masson three color dyeing method, collagen volume fraction can be measured.At the same time, measure the myocardial tissue type III collagen by ELISA method to evaluate the degree of fibrosis. Ankyrin B, TGFβ1, NF- k B m RNA and protein expression in left atrium are detected by reverse transcription polymerase reaction and western blot.Results :Compared with control group, atrial fibrosis in the persistent atrial fibrillation model increased significantly, the collagen volume fraction increased significantly(P < 0.01)。Compared with control group, the expression of Ankyrin-B and NF-k B in the persistent atrial fibrillation model decreased(P < 0.05), while the TGFβ1 increasely expressed, which are associated with Ankyrin-B expression. The degree of myocardial fibrosis is associated with Ankyrin-B expression.Conclusion Results confirmed that Ankyrin B is associated with atrial fibrosis, at the same time,,through the acceleration to NF-k B, it can regulate the manufacture of collagen.
