Objective: This research explored the rural women healthy behavior and quality of life in Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing and Guizhou province. It based on three theories: the theory of healthy behavior, the theory of quality of life and the theory of structural equation model. It examined the relationships between rural women healthy behavior, the healthy status and the quality of life in those areas through multi-disciplinary theories and knowledge. Therefore, expanded the path of least squares model used in the field of health care and provided new approach and ideas to the health-related issues as well as provided the references and basis for the related department to develop rural women’s health policy. Methods: The process of the methods went through: pose a question, theoretical explanation, and description of current situation, analysis and strategies for solution. The use of theoretical and empirical analysis was combined together. It investigated the factors that influenced the rural women’s healthy issues through literature review, field investigation, data analysis, self-made questionnaires, social support graph and the life quality diagram of World Health Organization. By using the triangulation method and Logistic regression to build PLS path model of partial least squares and clarified the path and impact factor of health-related behaviors, health status and life quality.Results:(1) Pre- survey indicated that the questionnaires of exploring the factors, which influence the rural women healthy, were reliable for this study and could be used in this study.(2) Health-related behaviors can influence healthy status. After the investigation, it found that descriptive statistics showed that the average age of 49.66 + /-12.79 years old. According to chi-square test, different dietary habits, lifestyle, health habits and physical behavior, compliance behavior, economic status population, health status had significantly difference. It indicated that these factors could influence chronic diseases.(3) The use of Logistic regression analysis, after fitting 8, excluding a number of non-significant variables sports concluded that physical training and per capita annual family income had impact in chronic diseases.(4) It analyzed the health status factor: eating habits, lifestyle, health habits and exerci behavior, compliance behavior, economic status and social support were the main seven factors. Demographic factors as age, ethnicity, marital status, occupation, educational level, living way six variables, including a total of 13 latent variables, 41 measured variables to build partial least squares PLS structural equation model for constructing the model reliability and validity testing, load factor Bootstrap test and t test. The direct role model parameter estimation path was found that the impact on health of exercising behaviors of the largest path coefficient was 0.2574. It can be indicated that more regular exercise people could have better healthy body. People with good live manner had minimal impact on the health status and the path coefficient was 0.0013.(5) Construction PLS path model health-related behaviors affect quality of life and the results showed that health-related behaviors not only had a direct impact on the quality of life, but also has an indirect effect. Direct impact on the quality of life was the greatest exercise behavior. The impact factor of 0.2038 demonstrated that people who had regular participates in physical exercise had the higher the quality of life. Followed by the directly affect: health and eating habits, which coefficients were 0.1444,0.14. The minimal direct impact was lifestyle. The impact factor was 0.039. Diet, lifestyle, health habits, exercise behavior and compliance behavior can directly affect both the quality of life. However, they can also indirectly affect the quality of life through health.Conclusion:(1) This survey found that the overall health status of rural women in the bordering areas was in a low level with high prevalence. By improving healthy behaviors(e.g. good diet, good hygiene practices, etc.) could promote health. Hazards health behavior(e.g. bad health habits, lack of exercise behavior, etc.) had a negative impact on health.(2) According to the descriptive analysis, people with different conditions(e.g. age, ethnicity, education level, eating habits, lifestyle, health habits, exercise habits, different compliance habits, economic conditions and social support) had different chronic conditions. Therefore, by using Logistic regression analysis, the impact of physical activity had the largest affect on health, followed by the regular diet, which identified as the main factors that affecting health.(3) Since the PLS path model can effectively handle the relationship between latent variables and the measurable variables and measurement error, it overcame the non-normality of the study sample size. The method and theory of health-related behaviors, health-related behavior change model theory, quality of life theory can solve problems for our further study of health-related behavior and quality of life in the future foundation. Using partial least squares PLS path model variables and the latent variables was organically integrated in the structural equation model in the analysis of rural women in national border health status and quality of life in health-related behaviors. According to the size of the path coefficients, it can be determined since the impact of the size variable. Followed by exercise behavior, social support, health habits, compliance behavior, economic status, lifestyle, diet, health-related behaviors could not only directly affect the quality of life but also be indirectly affected.(4) According to the analysis results, the change of rural women’s health-related behaviors was very necessary. It provided reference and basis for the local government to develop a number of related policies and institutions. At the same time, the health departments should strengthen propaganda of health knowledge so as to improve their diet and hygiene practices as well as improve quality of life.
