The Clinical Study On Nourish Yin,Promoting Blood Circulation,Expelling Wind, And Resolving Phlegm Method In Treating Chronic Cough In Children

Objective:Through the observation of yin- nourishing, blood-activating, wind- expelling, and phlegm- resolving method in the treatment of children with chronic cough, and compared with the control group, and objectively evaluate the clinical efficacy of TCM syndrome differentiation.Design and method:Childrens with chronic cough were randomly divided into 2 groups,60 cases in the treatment group,60 cases in the control group. The treatment group of atopic cough was treated by Chinese herb nan sha shenlOg,bei sha shen10g,mai dong10g,zi cao15g,xi xian caol5g,hu zhang10g,gou teng10g,chan tui10g,zi yuan10g,kuan dong10g,zhi bai bu10g,gan cao3g,as the main prescription, one dose daily. The treatment group of atopic rhinitis was treated by the same prescription plus bai zhi6g,xin yi6g,cang er zi6g,sheng ma huang2g.The control group of atopic cough and atopic rhinitis were given oral cetirizine:2～5 years old,2.5ml each time, once per night; 6～12years old,5ml each time, once per night; 13～14years old,10ml each time, once per night. The four groups were 7 days for a course of treatment, the curative effects of the 2 groups after 2 courses of statistics.Results:The two methods of treatment for chronic cough have a certain effect. By statistical analysis, The group of atopic cough:The treatment group of 36 cases has 25 cases,5 cases,4 cases and 2 cases which were cured, excellent, effective and invalid respectively, total effective rate was 94.44%. The control group of 33 cases has 11 cases,7 cases,9 cases and 6 cases which were cured, excellent, effective and invalid respectively, total effective rate was 81.82%. The group of atopic rhinitis:The treatment group of 24 cases has 16 cases,4 cases,2 cases and 2 cases which were cured, excellent, effective and invalid respectively, total effective rate was 91.67%. The control group of 27 cases has 9 cases,3 cases,6 cases and 9 cases which were cured, excellent, effective and invalid respectively, total effective rate was 66.67%. Both of which have significant differences (P<0.05).Traditional Chinese medicine treatment was more effective than western medicine group in the treatment of atopic cough and atopic rhinitis.Conclusion:Nourishing yin,promoting blood circulation,expelling wind and resolving phlegm method in treating chronic cough in children is safe and effective.
