Clinical Research Of Duo Luan Yi Hao Decoction On The Treatment Of Kidney Deficiency With Phlegm And Blood Stasis Syndrome Of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Objective:By observing the effect of Duo Luan Yi Hao Decoction in Kidney deficiency with phlegm and blood stasis syndrome of patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), studing the mechanism, to provide a new method of Chinese medicine for the treatment of PCOS.Methods:55 cases of patients with Kidney deficiency and phlegm-blood stasis syndrome of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome were selected and randomly divided into the treatment group of 27 cases and control group of 28 cases. Patients in the treatment group were treated with both Metformin and the decoction of Duoluanyihao, while patients of the control group were treated only with Metformin, for six months of each therapy. Before treatment and after drug withdrawal, contrast the menstruation, acne, hirsutism, body mass index (BMI), the symptom scores, the values of LH, FSH, LH/FSH, T, FINS, FPG, HOMA-IR, along with TC, TG, HDL, LDL were recorded.Results:(1) Total efficiency:In the treatment group,17 patients were markedly effected(62.96%), and 8 patients had effects (29.63%), with 2 patients invalid (7.41%). The total efficacy rate was 92.59%. In the control group,6 patients were markedly effected(21.43%), and 19 patients had effects (67.86%), with 3 patients invalid (10.71%). The total efficacy rate was 89.29%. There was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01). (2) The symptom score:In two groups, the symptom scores were significantly decreased after treatment, with statistical significance (P<0.01). Compared with the control group, the treatment group symptom score improvement was significantly better than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). (3)BMI:The value of BMI were significantly decreased after treatment in treatment group, with statistical difference (P<0.01); The value of BMI was decreased after treatment in control group, with statistical difference (P<0.05). Between the two groups, the control group was significantly decreased more than the treatment group, with statistical difference (P<0.05). (4) F-G scores and acne scores:In two groups, F-G scores were significantly decreased after treatment, with statistical significance (P<0.01); Compared with the control group, there is without statistically significant (P> 0.05). The acne scores were significantly decreased after treatment in in treatment group, with statistical difference (P<0.01). The acne score was slightly decreased after treatment in the control group, without statistical difference(P>0.05). Compared with the control group, the treatment group acne scores improvement was significantly better than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). (5) Sex hormone:In the treatment group, T, LH, and LH/FSH levels were significantly decreased after treatment, with statistical significance (P<0.01). In the control group, the value of T, LH, and LH/FSH were decreased after treatment, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the decrease of T, LH, and LH/FSH levels in the treatment group were both significantly greater, and there was statistical difference in the control group (P<0.05). The two groups FSH were slightly increased, without statistical significance (P>0.05). (6) Sugar metabolism:in the treatment group, FINS and HOMA-IR levels were significantly decreased after treatment, with statistical significance (P<0.01). In the control group, the value of FINS and HOMA-IR were decreased after treatment, with statistical significance (P<0.05). The two groups FPG were slightly decreased, without statistical significance (P>0.05). Compared with the control group, the decrease of FINS and HOMA-IR levels in the treatment group were significantly greater, and there was statistical difference in the control group (P<0.05). (7) Lipid metabolism:in the treatment group, TC, TG, and LDL levels were significantly decreased after treatment, with statistical significance (P<0.01). In the control group, the value of TC, TG, and LDL were decreased after treatment, with statistical significance (P<0.05). The two groups HDL were slightly increased, without statistical significance (P>0.05).Compared with the control group, the decrease of TC, TG, and LDL levels in the treatment group were both significantly greater, and there was statistical difference in the control group (P<0.05). (8) Security Analysis:In the course of treatment, two groups of patients with no significant adverse reactions, indicating that clinical drug is safe.Conclusion:Duo Luan Yi Hao Decoction has its specific effect on Kidney deficiency and phlegm-blood stasis syndrome of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, can relieve acne, clinical symptoms, BMI; reduce serum T, LH, LH/FSH, FINS, HOMA-IR, TC, LDL and TG levels; can improve PCOS patients with insulin resistance and lipid disorders. Compared with metformin group, Chinese medicine treatment combined with metformin can obtain more comprehensive clinical efficacy, and significant adverse reactions during treatment the patient does not appear, it has better security and deserves further study.
