OBJECTIVETo investigate the aetiology, trends in the clinical presentation, laboratory findings and management of the patients with livedoid vasculopathy who were misdiagnosed as leukocytoclastic vasculitis.METHODSThis is a retrospective case series. Clinical records of patients treated in the Department of Dermatology, the 2nd affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University, China, with a diagnosis of livedoid vasculopathy from August 2012 to February 2016. And pick up the patients who were once misdiagnosed as leukocytoclastic vasculitis.CONCLUSIONLivedoid vasculopathy is a chronic and painful skin disease which has similar clinical manifestation with leukocytoclastic vasculitis. But they have different pathological changes and need different treatment. A precise diagnosis must be made before treatment.
