| Objective To investigate the expression of Heparanase(HPA) and the expression of E-cadherin(E-cad) in breast cancer tissues and normal breast tissues, combine with biological of breast cancer(BC), and explore their correlation. Methods The expressiong of HPA and E-cad were examinated by using SABC immunohistochemistry in 60 cases of female patients with BC, and the corresponding cancer adjacent normal breast tissues as control,in order to analyse the relation between the expression of HPA and E-cad in BC and the parameters of clinical pathological factors of BC.Results 1.The rate of HPA positive expression compared with BC and normal breast tissues, the former is 68.3%, then the later is 13.2%,shows significant differences(P<0.05). 2. The rate of E-cad positive expression compared with BC and normal breast tissues, the former is 33.3%, then the later is 95.0%, shows significant differences(P<0.05); 3.The expression of HPA was significantly correlated with tissue pathology classification, TNM stage and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05),then which was not significantly correlated with tumor size and age(P>0.05); The expression of E-cad expression and tissue pathology classification, TNM staging and lymph node metastasis were significantly correlated(P < 0.05), and tumor size, age and significantly correlated(P >0.05); 4.In BC, the positive expression rate of E-cad and HPA showed a significant negative correlation(R=-0.47,P<0.05).Conclusion 1.Compared to normal breast tissue, the expression levels of HPA in BC were significantly increased, and the histological grade, TNM stage and lymph node metastasis was significantly correlated(P<0.05). 2.Compared to normal breast tissue, the expression levels of E-cad in BC decreased significantly, and the histological grade, TNM stage and lymph node metastasis was significantly correlated(P<0.05). 3. There is a negative correlation between the expression of HPA and E-cad in BC; the increase of HPA with the decrease of E-cad might have promoted tumor development and metastasis. There is certain significance of joint detection. |
