ISCM(Intramedullary spinal cord metastases) is a very rare neurological metastatic tumor, the disease progression is rapid, the prognosis is poor. ISCM is the most common source of lung cancer, followed by breast cancer. Reported 2013 in our hospital from lung cancer intramedullary spinal cord tumor: a case report and review of the literature transfer. The male patients, 43 years old, more than 20 years of smoking history, November 2012 diagnosis for lung cancer with brain metastasis, 2012 at the end of 12 patients appear numbness of the right lower extremity weakness and progressive,and development to numbness and weakness of both legs, can’t get out of bed to walk,received thoracic and sacral vertebra MRI enhancement shows: T9 / 10 vertebral plane spinal space occupying lesions, combining with the history considered for metastases or ventricular ependymomas. For primary lung tumor and spinal metastases palliative radiotherapy, DT=36Gy/20 f after radiotherapy for patients with lower extremity muscle strength rebound. After multiple metastases to cisplatin and etoposide etoposide cisplatin chemotherapy 4 cycle. The disease progress has been killed on October 2013.In order to improve the understanding of ISCM, we reviewed the literature at home and abroad based on this case, to explore the clinical characteristics, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of spinal cord intramedullary metastases, and to further clarify the diagnostic and treatment rules of ISCM.
