Object:Study the relation between the platelet count and severe burn patient with septicopyemia..Method:Collection of the first 14 days hospitalization platelet count、 White blood cell count、Neutrophilic granulocyte percentage, burn area and depth、 age、gender and hospitality days of total 133 sample of sever burn patients. Samples are divided into 2 groups:sepicopyemia group (G1) and Non-sepicopyemia group (G2). Each group is divided into 3 sub-groups according to age:child sub-group、adult sub-group and elderly sub-group. All patients were grouping into 4 according to Platelet decrease amount:severe platelet decrease group, moderate platelet decrease group, mild platelet decrease group and normal platelet count group.Result:91 patients among 133 samples occurred septicopyemia. G1 and G2 the first 14 days hospitalization platelet count、White blood cell count、 neutrophilic granulocyte percentage、burn area and hospitality days, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Platelet count decreased occurred among severe burn patients, the platelet count decreasing more and lasting longer in septicopyemia group than non-septicopyemia group, adult patients among G1 showed bigger in burn area, longer in hospitality days and more in operation times than elderly and child patients. The platelet count、White blood cell count、neutrophilic granulocyte percentage among the three sub-group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).G1 and G2 in adult sub-group, compared the platelet count、White blood cell count neutrophilic granulocyte percentage, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). However, G1 and G1 among child sub-group and elderly sub-group, the platelet count、White blood cell count、neutrophilic granulocyte percentage out of the statistically significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion:1. The platelet count transiently fell in severe burn patient at the early stage, and the falling even worse in septicopyemia patient, it last longer as well.2. Compared to children and elderly, the decreasing of the platelet count was more obvious, and more meaningful in septicopyemia prediction.
