Objective: To investigate and analysis the clinical and pathological characteristic of extragastrointestinal stromal tumor(EGIST) patients, and to clarify the factors that effect on prognosis. Methods: The clinical and follow-up data of 34 EGIST patients who received surgery at our hospital between January 2006 and June 2014 were analyzed restrospectively.34 cases of extragastrointestinal stromal tumors in patients with clinical and follow-up data were statistically analyzed using SPSS17.0 count data using the chi-square test, and Kaplan-Meier curves to calculate survival rate affect survival analyzes were performed using the Log-rank test, single factor analysis have significant factors further Cox regression analysis, finally draw of the independent factors affected the survival rate of EGIST, in order to investigate the influence of EGIST’s prognosis. Results: This group of patients, including 13 cases of male, female 21 cases, aged 39 to 86 years old, the median age of 64.8 years. At the first clinical manifestation of abdominal belly discomfort(7 cases), abnormal defecate(10 cases), abdominal pain(5cases), abdominal mass(6 cases), 5 patients were asymptomatic. Tumor size is 3 ~ 19 cm,of which the < 5 cm in 5 cases, 5 ~ 10 cm in 12 cases, > 10 cm in 17 cases. Originated in13 cases of mesenteric, 8 cases omentum, retroperitoneum 9 cases, other 4 cases. The 3years and 5 years survival rate of 34 patients was 58.6% and 33.2%. Univariate analysis revealed that tumor size, operational method, tumor rupture, tumor hemorrhage and necrosis, the surrounding tissue invasion, mitotic figure, risk ranking, Ki-67 index, tumor recurrence or metastasis, targeting therapy have significant effects on overall 5-year survival( P<0.05). Multivariate analysis demonstrated that operational method, the surrounding tissue invasion, tumor rupture, tumor recurrence or metastasis, mitotic figure, targeting therapy were independent prognostic factor(P<0.05).Conclusion: Operational method, the surrounding tissue invasion, tumor rupture, tumor recurrence or metastasis, mitotic figure, targeting therapy were independent prognostic factor.
