ObjectiveCompared with conventional acupuncture, pricking and cupping are applied in treating patients with coronary heart disease and angina pectoris so as to access effects of improving angina pectoris and TCM clinical syndromes. Therefore, a safe, green and effective combination therapy for the treatment of angina pectoris of blood stasis type of coronary heart disease is developed.MethodsThis study is a randomized controlled trial, which were collected from Guangdong Province Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine Department of Cardiology and Traditional Therapy Center. Time is from January 2015 to January 2016, diagnosed as stable angina pectoris of coronary heart disease. There were 64 cases that approach TCM syndrome of blood stasis, which were randomly divided into the treatment group (blood letting puncture and cupping group) and control group (acupuncture group) with the treatment of 4 weeks. Follow-up visits were conducted after that. After finishing treatment, assessment was conducted on patients with angina symptoms, symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine and adverse reactions were recorded in the process of research. The data results were statistically analyzed by SPSS22.0 software, and the difference between the two groups was compared.Results1. There were significant improvements on patients with angina pectoris before and after treatment in the treatment group and differences on scores were statistically significant (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the difference was not statistically significant. Statistics showed that total effective rate of the treatment of angina pectoris symptoms in the treatment group was 70%; while for the control group; the total effective rate was 73%. Comparison of the two groups showed that differences were not statistically (P>0.05), an expression that curative effects of angina pectoris were similar between the treatment group and control group. Followed up visits were conducted after 4 weeks. The two groups were compared intra-group in angina pectoris symptom score and scores after treatments, the difference was not statistically significant; the two groups were followed up for angina pectoris symptom scores by group comparison, the difference was not statistically significant.2. There were significant improvements on patients with TCM syndrome scores before and after treatment for the treatment group and differences on scores were statistically significant (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the difference was not statistically significant. According to statistics, group of TCM syndrome the total effective rate of TCM syndrome curative effect was 83.3%, while the total effective rate for the control group was 80%. Comparison of the two groups showed that differences were not statistically (P> 0.05), an expression that curative effects of angina pectoris were similar between the treatment group and control group. Followed up visits were conducted after 4 weeks. The two groups were compared intra-group in TCM syndrome scores and scores after treatments, the difference was statistically significant; the two groups were followed up for TCM syndrome scores by group comparison, the difference was not statistically significant, an indication that long-term effect was better and symptom effect was similar in improving TCM symptom.ConclusionThe results of the research show that on coronary heart disease patients with blood stasis type of angina pectoris, select heart meridian and pericardium meridian back Shu Points impose blood letting puncture and cupping therapy, improvement of angina symptoms, TCM syndrome has exact curative effect. The therapy has the advantages of convenient operation, little side effect and definite curative effect, and is worthy of popularization and application in clinical treatment of angina pectoris of coronary heart disease.
