Migraine is a type familial clinical which is a very common chronic neurovascular diseases. The etiology of migraine is very complex and influenced by the combined action of genetic and environmental. However, the pathogenesis of migraine is still not clear completely. There are some studies shown that the factor of brain-derived neurotrophic have play a important role in the pathogenesis of migraine. On the other hand, the factor of gene and race also have play a important role in the incidence of migraine. Furthermore, some studies to the genes which closely related to the migraine have Continuously expand the list of relevant candidate genes and BDNF maybe contained. Therefore, combining the conclusion that BDNF gene associated with the onset of migraine with the interact of genetic and environmental will help explore the development of migraine.Recently, some foreign studies have suggested that the polymorphisms of rs6265, rs2049046, rs11030107, rs7124442, rs1519480 located in BDNF gene may increase the risk which can be associated with the onset of migraine. Thus, we explored the relevance between the BDNF gene several Single nucleotide polymorphism and the onset of migraine during the patients with sporadic migraine in Han nationality in Yunnan Province of China, in order to find the susceptibility loci of Han population in Yunnan, China. This research is closely combined with the conclusion of basic research, and will provide valuable clues to the pathogenesis of migraine. This research used case-control study method and contained a total of 93 cases of sporadic migraine patients of a Han Chinese Yunnan’s population and 98 healthy controls. The target loci were amplified by the DNA polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique, and then DNA sequencing technology was used to determine the target SNPs. This paper analyzed the distribution differences of the following SNPs, including rs6265, rs2049046, rs11030107, rs7124442 and rs1519480, between sporadic migraine patients of a Han Chinese Yunnan’s population and healthy controls, and the best fitting model and logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the association of the target SNPs and Chinese Han sporadic migraine patients. The results showed that:These SNPs including rs6265, rs2049046, rs11030107, rs7124442 and rs1519480 all of which are in the coding region of BDNF, have no associations with Chinese Yunnan’s Han sporadic migraine patients. Unfortunately, due to the relatively small sample size, this research has not yet found a locus associated with Chinese Yunnan’s Han sporadic migraine patients, However our results suggest that there is a need of further study in a large cohort.
