Objective:Radiation pneumonitis is a common complication after radiotherapy in patients with thoracic tumors. With the development and popularization of radiation therapy in recent decades, the incidence of radiation pneumonitis is increasing year by year. Because the treatment method is relatively simple, the hormone and antibiotic itself has many side effects and adverse reactions, which seriously affect the survival period and quality of life of patients with cancer. More and more doctors began to combine traditional Chinese and Western Medicine on the treatment of radiation pneumonitis. The study by Yiqiyangxue Huayujiedu method combined with conventional therapy of Western medicine in an attempt to find a more scientific and effective combination therapy, improve patients with symptoms of the acute phase, so as to improve the patient’s quality of life, prolong the survival time of patients. Hope to improve the curative effect and reduce the incidence of radiation pneumonitis. As a result of radiation pneumonitis once appeared on the need for timely symptomatic treatment and medication for a long time, the cost of patient treatment caused greater pressure. This study, through the study of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine combined treatment, reduce the pain of patients and shorten the treatment time, to prevent the occurrence of chronic radiation pulmonary fibrosis. Reduce the patient’s medical expenditure, reduce the patient’s economic pressure. Scientific and clinical research methods, the effect of combined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine statistical analysis, confirmed its efficacy. To explore new therapeutic methods, promote the popularization and application of traditional Chinese medicine in clinical practice, and reflect the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine treatment. To promote the training of more traditional Chinese and Western medicine talents, improve the rational allocation of medical resources, and promote social harmony and stability.Methods:A total of 40 patients with radiation pneumonitis were collected from oncology department of Shuyang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Jiangsu Province during 2015-2016. By randomly divided into treatment group and control group of 20 cases. All patients were admitted to the hospital for routine examination to assess the condition and to meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Two Suqian city hospital and old Chinese medicine dialectical type basically conforms to the Qi Yin deficiency standard. The control group received routine treatment, hormone prednisone combined with antibiotics cefuroxime. The treatment group in the control group based on the use of Qi and blood stasis in traditional Chinese medicine decoction for oral method. The two groups were treated with radiation pneumonia, and 6 weeks were observed. Patients may not take similar to the effect of the decoction of Chinese medicine or proprietary Chinese medicine and other symptoms of the patients were symptomatic treatment. Through the quality of life score (KPS), clinical symptom relief effect, chest X-ray manifestations, changes in the level of TGF-β,lung volume and pulmonary diffusion function, adverse reaction rating of these aspects to determine the efficacy criteria. Finally, the experimental data were statistically analyzed and the results were obtained.Result:The clinical trial of 40 patients with a total of income. At the end of the cases, there were 5 cases in the treatment group,2 cases in the treatment group and 3 cases in the control group. After statistical analysis, the KPS score in the treatment group and the control group after treatment than before treatment, KPS score, quality of life improved, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the KPS score of the treatment group was better than that of the control group (P<0.05); In dry cough, asthma, breathing difficulties of the 3 symptoms of the treatment group than the control group to ease the effect is better (P<0.05). The total effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant in promoting the absorption of lung inflammation (P>0.05); On the level of TGF-β1, the treatment group was significantly lower than the control group at the level of TGF-β1 after treatment, and the effect on the inhibition of TGF-β1 was better (P<0.05); Treatment group and control group after treatment, the total amount of lung were improved (P<0.05). In the treatment group, the total amount of lung was better than that of the control group after treatment, and the recovery of lung injury caused by radiation pneumonia was better (P<0.05); In the treatment group and the control group after treatment, the pulmonary function test results were improved, but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Comparison between the two groups results in the treatment group after treatment was slightly better, but the results were not statistically significant (P> 0.05); In the incidence of adverse reactions, the incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group than in the control group was lower, higher safety (P>0.05)Conclusions: ①Yiqiyangxue Huayujiedu method combined with Western conventional treatment to improve quality of life in patients with radiation pneumonitis, alleviate acute clinical symptoms, promote lung inflammation absorption, improve the total lung capacity, reduce the side effects of the treatment of these have obvious effect, and compared with the pure western medicine treatment has more advantages.②Yiqiyangxue Huayujiedu method combined with conventional western medicine therapy on the mechanism of treatment of radiation pneumonitis may be through inhibition of TGF-β levels, blocking signaling pathway, reduce the local lung tissue macrophages, fiber cells and other immune cells and immune factors of aggregation and infiltration, reduce inflammation of the lung tissue, reduce lung injury.
