| Objective The aim of this research is to investigate the influence of Tongfu Zhuyu Decoction on the clinical efficacy of bronchial asthma and the intervention of FeNO by mensurating the clinical symptoms, the ACTs, the serum IgE, the pulmonary functions and the level of FeNO.Methods 1.The topic selected 40 cases in all. Theses cases were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,20 cases in each group. The clinical symptoms, the ACTs, the serum IgE, the pulmonary functions and the level of FeNO of each group were measured and recorded. 2.Patients in control group were treated with budesonide/formoterol inhalation (Symbicort), twice a day, lasting 3 months. Treatment for patients in experimental group was based on the control group, and added the Tongfu Zhuyu Decoction, the total course of treatment is also 3 months. After the course, test the same indexes, then make a comparison.Results 1.The clinical symptoms, the ACTs, the serum IgE, lung function, as well as the level of FeNO of patients in both two groups improved obviously than before, all differences above were statistically significant(P<0.01).2. The decline of the level of FeNO and the serum IgE in experimental group after treatment were more significant than those in control group(P<0.01). The improvement of the clinical symptoms, the ACTs of patients from experimental group after treatment were more significant than the control group(P<0.05).However, there was no difference in the pulmonary function(P>0.05).Conclusion Tongfu Zhuyu Decoction can treat bronchial asthma by reducing the level of FeNO and controlling the airway inflammation. It is better than the inhaled corticosteroid therapy in clinical remission. To a certain extent, it shows the method of traditional Chinese medicine combined with Western medicine has advantages of asthma treatment. It also enables more patients to control asthma. |
