Abstract/Summary:
Purpose:To study the relationship between estradiol(E2), estrone(E1),4-Hydroxyestradiol (4-OHE2),2-Hydroxyestradiol (2-OHE2),2-Methoxyestradiol (2-MeOE2); 16a-hydroxyestrone (16a-OHE1).the radio of estradiol to estrone(E2/El).the radio of 4-Hydroxyestradiol to 2-Methoxyestradiol(4-OHE2/2MeOE2). the radio of 4-Hydroxyestradiol to estradiol(4-OHE2/E2), the radio of 2-Hydroxyestradiol to estradiol(2-OHE2/E2),2-Methoxyestradiol to estradiol(2-MeOE2/E2), the radio of 16a-hydroxyestrone to estrone(16a-OHE1/E1) and endometrial cancer risk.Method:The serum levels of E2, E1, 4-OHE2,2-OHE2; 2-MeOE2; 16a-OHE1 were measured by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) in 32 cases of endometrial cancer and 32 controls of healthy women, the radio of E2/E1、4-OHE2/2-MeOE2、4-OHE2/E2、 2-OHE2/E2、2-MeOE2/E2、16a-OHE1/E1 were calculated. Statistical analysis was performed by SPSS16.0 software package.The distribution of data was unbalanced. The results of experiment were expressed as median. The results were performed by the Nonparametric test. P<0.05 was considered as significant.Results:The levels of E2,E1, 4-OHE2 in the cases were obviously higher than that in the controls,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05); The level of 2-OHE2 in the cases was higher than that of the controls.the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05); The level of 2-MeOE2 in the case group was lower than that of the control.the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05):The level of 16a-OHE1 in the case group was lower than that of the control.the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The radios of E2/E1、4-OHE2/2-MeOE2 in the case group were higher than those of the controls.the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05):radios of 4-OHE2/E2、2-OHE2/E2、2-MeOE2/E2 in the case groups were lower than that of the controls, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The most common syndrome of endometrial cancer was Damp-heat pouring downward syndrome.and then syndrome of intermingling of damp-poison-static blood was following.Conclusion:E2.E1 and 4-OHE2 may promote the initiation and development of endometrial cancer; 2-MeOE2 may play an important role in the inhibition of endometrial cancer:An elevated radio of E2/E1、4-OHE2/2-MeOE2 was associated with endometrial cancer risk; An elevated radio of4-OHE2/E2、2-OHE2/E2、2-MeOE2/E2 was inversely associated with endometrial cancer risk.Elevated Damp-heat pouring downward syndrome and intermingling of damp-poison-static blood syndrome were associated with endometrial cancer risk.
