Objective:To explore the major prognostic factors in patients with pancreatic cancer and to find the best management of borderline resectable pancreatic cancer. Methods: Totally 100 clinical cases from September 2014 to September 2015 were retrospectively analyzed in the Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. Survival rate was calculated by Kaplan-Meier estimation while survival curve was analyzed by log-rank test. Prognostic factors were studied by multivariate analyzed with COX proportion hazards survival model. Results:In this group, overall survival rates at 6,12,18 months were 50%、32%、15%, median survival time was 6 month.Multivariate revealed that independent prognostic factors were radical resection(HR=0.396), chemotherapy(HR=0.359) and pathological differentiation grade(HR=0.253). Chemo-therapy is independent prognostic factor of borderline resectable pancreatic cancer. Conclusion:The prognosis of patients with pancreatic cancer is determined by multiple factors. Radical resection, chemotherapy and pathological differentiation grade influences the survival time of pancreatic cancer. Adjuvant chemotherapy may be a better management for borderline resectable pancreatic cancer.
