The surgeon must seek new methods to achieve the purpose of minimize the complications. The finding of Sentinel Lymph Node(SLN) has promoted the development of breast cancer. Breast sentinel lymphy node biopsy(SLNB) has been used to breast cancer treatment. With it’s advantages of slightly trauma, less postoperative complications, patients recover faster. meanwhile, shortoned hospitial-stay and other advantages makes patients who have no metastatic carcinoma in SLN which were verify by the pathological examination can avoid axillary lymph node dissection(ALND), just this adventage can bring heathy benefits to patients a lot.Many scholars both at home and abroad, have been trying to expand the application areas of SLNB, and verify the reliability of it. Many good examples have been reprted, such as breast reconstruction combination with SLNB during the operation,lumpectomy,etc. The study of SLNB for breast cancer can provides us with the broader thinking.
