Renal cell carcinoma(RCC) is one of the high incidence of urological cancer, with 70% of the patients are clear cell renal cell carcinoma(cc RCC).Tumor metastasis is the main factor of death in patients with renal cancer, but its mechanism has not been elucidated. unclear. Our previous studies have shown that the expression level of Capn4 was significantly higher in RCC tumor tissues compared with adjacent nontumor tissues. Higher Capn4 expression was observed in patients with more advanced pathological stage and also associated with decreased overall survival. This study will examined the expression in cell lines to investigate the molecular mechanism of metastasis and elucidate that Capn4-Talin-FAK is a novel signal pathway in the regulation of metastasis in RCC. Then,we explore the impact of P-FAK on tumor migration and invasion in vitro. This project aims to elucidate the role of Capn4 in metastasis and investigate the possible molecular mechanism in which Capn4 activates RCC metastasis by regulating the Talin-FAK signal pathway. This project will benefit improving our knowledge in understanding the mechanism of RCC metastasis and providing useful clues and possible therapeutic targets for clinical diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
