Objective:To evaluate the value of trans-vaginal ultrasonic elastography in diagnosis of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions.Methods:Trans-vaginal ultrasonic elastography and transvaginal ultrasound were used to examine the 131 cases. All cases were evaluated by elasticity score and strain ratio and compared with postoperative pathologic results. Another 40 cases of normal cervix were chosen as control group.Results:1. The ultrasonic elastography scores of CIN and control group’s cervix were 1 to 3 points and cervical cancer was 4 to 5 points. There were no statistically significant difference between CIN and control group’s cervix on the ultrasonic elasticity score(P>0.05).Elasticity score between the two groups and cervical cancer was statistically significant difference(P<0.05).2. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of transvaginal ultrasound in diagnosis of cervical cancer were 78.43%,95.00%,88.55% respectively. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of ultrasonic elastography in diagnosis of cervical cancer were 84.31%,88.75%,87.02%. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of combined diagnosis in diagnosis of cervical cancer were 96.08%,85.00%,89.32%. There were no statistically significant difference between transvaginal ultrasound and ultrasonic elastography on the ultrasonic elasticity score(P>0.05). The ultrasonic elastography, transvaginal ultrasound, compared with the combination of these two have statistical significant differences in the diagnosis of cervical cancer.Conclusion:1. Ultrasonic elastography has clinical application value in the diagnosis of cervical cancer, but has not obvious advantages in the diagnosis of cervical precancerous lesions.2. Ultrasonic elastography is a good supplement for transvaginal ultrasound. A combination of these two can improve the diagnostic rate of cervical cancer.
