ObjectiveTo discuss effects of acupuncture therapy on the liver fat content of T2DM patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease,as well as the therapeutic effect of acupuncture in lipid metabolism, general and security indicators. Factors that may affect VTQ measurements of the liver are discussed.MethodsTo collect patients with T2DM complicated NAFLD, were screened according to the requirements and were accepted basic treatment. To meet the requirements, all the patients were randomized to acupuncture treatment group and matched group. The treatment group added with acupuncture therapy, while the control group with simulated acupuncture treatment. Recorded and measured corresponding evaluation indicators of the subjects. Compare differences of ARFI value of liver, general index, such as weight, waist, etc, glucose and lipid metabolism indicators, for example blood sugar, insulin, etc, ALT, WBC and so on security index before and after the treatments. Analyszed dependency between ARFI values of liver with other indicators index.Results1. The ARFI values of liver in men is higher than women (p<0.05). The ARFI values of liver was negatively correlated to age, duration of diabetes, while positively correlated with liver steatosis degree, HbAlc, TC, ALT and AST.2. The difference between before and after treatment of traditional Chinese medicine symptom integral is statistically significant in the each group. The comparison in the two groups which is subtrahend results about score of TCM symptom between before and after treatment is statistically significant. When take the comparison of TCM symptom in the two groups into account, the effective rate of treatment group effective rate was higher than the control group (90.00%, 36.67%respectively, P<0.05);At the same time,3.Condering weight, waist circumference, body mass index, blood sugar (Oh,2h), waist-hip ratio, insulin(Oh,2h), TC, TG, HbAlc, HDL-C, hepatic ARFI measurements and LDL-C, the differences between before and afte treatment in the acupuncture treatment group had Statistical significance, while the differences about the hip circumference is not statistically significant; In the control group, the differences in blood sugar (Oh,2h), hip circumference, HbAlc, insulin (Oh,2h), blood lipid four components and measurement of hepatic ARFI were compared statistically significantly, but on the other hand, the differences about the body weight, WHR, waist BMI, circumference had not statistically significance. The subtrahend results between before and after treatment which were included ARFI, body weight, WHR, TC, waist circumference, BMI in the acupuncture treatment group were significantly different from the matched group. Taking efficacy of fatty liver into consideration, the difference in the two group was not significantly different.ConclusionWhen the acupuncture treatment was applied into patients with the patients who were T2DM combined NAFLD, body weight, waist-hip ratio, liver fat content, waist circumference, Chinese medicine clinical symptoms integral, body mass index of the patients could be effectively reduce; Besides, the therapy played a supplementary role of other clinical indicators, such as insulin, blood lipid, blood sugar. The safety of the acupuncture cure is reliable, which is entitled to apply in clinical treatment of patients with T2DM and NAFLD. Furthermore, the measurement of liver ARFI was positive relationship with the severity fatty liver disease, and has the value of clinical application.
