Objective To understand the various areas of anhui province in recent years, children infected with Staphyococcus aureus(SA) resistance and its epidemiological characteristics. To analyze the methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA) staphylococcal cassette chromosome(SCCmec) genotype distribution characteristics.Methods A total of 85 strains of SA collected from a variety inpatient and outpatient clinical inspection distinct separate specimens(including blood, phlegm, pus, secretion, puncture fluid, urine, etc.) in Anhui bacterial resistance monitoring network center 41 hospitals from 2010 to 2013 per year in September. All isolates SA and drug sensitivity test were identified by the Microscan Walk-Away-40 automatic microorganism analyzer. The MRSA was made by agar dilution method for phenotypic screening and further identified by polymerase chain reaction(PCR) of methicillin resistance genes mecA. The genotypes of SCCmec were determined by multiplex PCR.Results Of 85 strains isolated Staphylococcus aureus, 66 strains were 19 strains MRSA and methicillin sensitive Staphylococcus aureus(MSSA). The detection rate of MRSA was 22.35%. Detection of MRSA most specimens is sputum and throat swab,followed by secretions. All SA were completely resistant to penicillin and childamycin, but entirely sensitive to vancomycin. Compared with MSSA, the drug resistance of 16 common antimicrobial agengts is higher than that of MRSA. SCCmec genotyping results showed that the most frequent SCCmec type were â…¢. The 12 isolates of MRSA were SCCmec â…¢, only 5 isolates were SCCmec I, and 2 isolate had no genotype. Type II, type IV and type V were not found in the group.Conclusions There are different resistance patterns of SA infection in Anhui Province. The MRSA detection rate of chlidren is consistent with national coverage. Children with MRSA to antimicrobial drug resistance were higher than MSSA. To strengthen the monitoring the clinical antimicrobial drugs using rationally of MRSA is significant. The main SCCmec genotype of MRSA in children is SCCmec â…¢.
