The Exploration Of The Complication Related To The Temporary Loop Ileostomy And Temporary Colostomy

Objective: To compare the complication of loop ileostomy(LI) with loop transverse colostomy(LC), then explore which one of them should be adopted preferentially. Methods: By searching the Cochrane database, Medline, Pubmed, Ovid and Embase, five randomized clinical trials were adopted. Then, two independent reviewers extracted the general information and the commonly involved complication. Results: The complication which was generally mentioned in five randomized trials contained prolapse, parastomal hernia, wound infection, skin irritation, intestinal obstruction, wound infection related to stoma closure and intestinal obstruction related to stoma closure. Overall, for all of these complication, there is no significant difference between LI and LC(all P>0.05) except prolapse(P<0.05). Conclusion:For different patients, the different stoma should be adopted more individuational.
