Objective: To observe efficacy of the pillow reduction combined with posterior short segment pedicle screw open reduction and internal fixation for the treatment of thoracolumbar fractures without spinal cord injury, and to explore the pillow reduction and postoperative vertebral height and convex recovery were analyzed, the clinical fracture postoperative recovery provided for reference. Methods: cluded in the 23 cases of AO-A type thoracolumbar vertebral body fracture patients in our hospital, firstly preoperative pillow reduction, posterior short segment screw rod internal fixation treating injury of thoracolumbar fracture without spinal cord. All patients with thoracolumbar fractures were treated with X-ray examination of positive and lateral position of the spine.treatment before and pillow reduction and operation after 1 week and 1 year after removal of the internal fixation of vertebral margin height and Cobb angle condition measured from the X-ray to observe the recovery of vertebral height and kyphosis. No complications occurred during operation and after operation, and the curative effect was evaluated. Results: 1. 23 patients were followed up for 12-18 months, and the average follow-up was 14 months. without internal fixation failure and complications occurred, the treatment effect was satisfactory. 2. 23 cases of postoperative VAS pain score significantly alleviated, vertebral height recovered well. Before treatment Compared respectively to pillow reduction, and 1 week after operation, and the 1 year after operation, the loss of vertebral height value and Cobb angle decreases, the statistical significance(P< 0.05). 3. Compared after 1 weeks and 1 years after surgery, the value of vertebral height loss and Cobb angle increased, and there was statistical significance(P < 0.05). 4.Compared pillow reduction and postoperative 1 year, and vertebral margin height loss value and after Cobb angle increases, the statistical significance(P < 0.05).Conclusion:Thoracolumbar fracture used treatment method of pillow reduction combined with posterior short segment screw rod, reliable fixation and vertebral height restoration significantly and the curative effect is definite. Comparison of postoperative 1 week and after operation 1 year, the height loss value of vertebral anterior and posterior margin and the kyphotic Cobb angle suggest that vertebral height of posterior short segment fixation loss phenomenon. Pillow reduction and postoperative 1 year compared the vertebral edge height loss value and Cobb angle that postoperative vertebral height and kyphosis Cobb angle angle failed to restore to state of pillow reduction.
