Background:Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) refers to liver injury or anaphylatic reactions induced by all kinds of drugs and their metabolites. With the continuous increase in new clinical drugs, the widespread combination of multiple clinical drugs and the great promotion of traditional Chinese medicine among people, we can see the incidence of DILI has been increasing year after year. Objective:To summarize the clinical features of DILI, deepen the understanding of the disease and get proper diagnosis and treatment. Methods:We collected the clinical data of 121 patients diagnosed with DILI from January 2013 to October 2015 in Qilu hospital and performed retrospective analysis. The main collected materials include:the patient’s age, gender, occupation, medical and medication history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests including liver function and virus test and function of blood coagulation, complications, treatment and outcome. We also analyzed the clinical type, severity and RUCAM score of the patients. Results:The drugs that cause DILI mainly include Chinese herbal medicine, antibiotics, NSAIDS,sedative and immuno-suppressive drugs. The clinical type of the patients were mostly liver cell damage type and the RUCAM results were mostly 6-8 (probable). Severity classification most were level 1 (mild liver damage) or 3 (severe liver damage). The primary clinical manifestations include anorexia, fatigue, jaundice, nausea, fever, abdominal distension, hepatalgia, significantly abnormal liver function, etc. For the most patients, the prognosis was favorable after withdrawal and liver protection therapy. Conclusion:Chinese herbal medicine was the most common cause of DILI in our country. We should show great emphasis on the disease and strengthen drug supervision as well as deepen the understanding of the disease among the public. Doctors should know the material, contraindications, untoward reactions and interactions of the drugs before they were taken by patients.
