The Clinical Value Of Carbon Nanoparticles Suspension In The Sixth Region Lymph Node Cleaning And Laryngeal Recurrent Nerve Protection In Thyroid Operation

Objective:Through the comparative analysis of using carbon nanoparticles suspension as lymphatic tracer in patients with PTC operation, further evaluate the effectiveness of Carbon Nanoparticles Suspension in central lymph node cleaning and laryngeal recurrent nerve protection, improve the thoroughness of central lymph node cleaning and the quality of patients’ life. Methods:Through the prospective analysis of 152 patients with PTC in Shandong Province hospital between 2013 August and 2015 October. Among the patients, we regarded 69 cases of using Carbon Nanoparticles Suspension in operation as the test group, the other 83 cases with routine operation in the control group. we injected the Carbon Nanoparticles Suspension in the test group operations with the multipoint and multitime method, then we started to clean the sixth region lymph node; The latter with routine operation method. After the pathological examination result came out, we got the data in each group, including pathology, the total number of the cleaned central lymph node, the number of lymph node metastasis, the diameter of the tumor. Then we can get the average number in the total lymph node and metastasis lymph node. three months later, we can get the situation of patients’voice by the follow-up survery. through analysing all of the data by statistics method, We can find whether there is a statistically difference between the two groups. Results:There is no allergic or discomfortable case after injected the Carbon Nanoparticles Suspension. After the statistics, we got a total lymph node number in test group is 331, the average per patient is 4.8; which in control group is 181, the average per patient is 2.21, so we got a result that there is a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.001); the number of metastasis lymph node in test group is 80, the average per patient is 1.16; which in control group is 34 and 0.41, there’s no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05); The total number of successful following survey is 101,52 in test group and 49 in control group. Patients with hoarseness after operation in test group is 9 in 52, which in control group is 18 in 49, we got a statistically significant difference in the two groups(P<0.001). Conclusion:1.Carbon Nanoparticles Suspension can dye the thyroid gland and lymph node, but it can’t dye the laryngeal recurrent nerve.2. The application of Carbon Nanoparticles Suspension in thyroid carcinoma operation can improve the number of seized lymph node.3. Carbon Nanoparticles Suspension can’t be treated as the tools to evaluate the thyroid lymph node metastasis.4. The application of Carbon Nanoparticles Suspension in thyroid carcinoma operation can reduce the risk of laryngeal recurrent nerve damage. It has a high value in clinical application.
