Background With the development of society and the improvement of living standard, people’s way of life and lifestyle changes, there is an upward trend in the incidence of breast cancer in recent years, these have serious mental damage and physical health to the female, at the same time, have serious influence to the quality of people’s lives. With the rising incidence of breast cancer, the early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment of breast cancer are particularly important. The routine inspection methods of breast cancer are: women’s self-examination, the doctor palpation and ultrasound examination, molybdenum target X-ray, MRI, cytological biopsy examination, et al. The ultrasound examination check is safe with no radiation, easy, be repeated operation, not restricted by age, in the difference with cystic or solid neoplasm has a unique advantage; Molybdenum target X-ray is sensitive in tiny calcification, tiny calcification and the distribution of the clusters calcification often hint of mammary gland malignant lesions; CT examination is usually not a routine inspection method of mammary gland; MRI examination parameters and imaging sequences and directional tomography imaging are variety, and MRI examination include diffusion weighted imaging(DWI), spectrum, perfusion imaging, with no radiation. The advantage of good soft tissue resolution is incomparable. The sensitivity is as high as 100%, being an important inspection method in the diagnosis of mammary gland disease. Breast cancer is a tumor with rich blood supply, and its growth, development and metastasis are dependent on the dysplasia of blood vessels. Dynamic enhanced MRI angiography can clearly display the blood vessels that supply the breast tissue and the tumor, the blood vessels and vascular distribution, to help us using imaging objectively reveals the internal and surrounding the angiogenesis of tumor, correct preoperativeevaluation of breast cancer for clinical decision surgery treatment and provide important basis for breast cancer metastasis, recurrence and prognosis. Objective Characteristics of blood supply around the breast cancer and correlation of tumor size, shape, ADC values and pathological grading were studied by 3.0T MR vascular imaging.Materials and methods 94 breast cancer patients who were confirmed by histopathology and have been examined by 3.0T MR dynamic enhanced scan. Siemens 3.0T magnetic resonance instrument was used for the morphological data as well as the maximum diameter of lesions, ADC values, and pathological type, pathological classification data.ADW4.4 workstation was adopted to subtract the scan image from the most striking enhanced image in dynamic enhanced image and maximum intensity projection(MIP) was used to acquire the bilateral breast 3D subtraction angiography images. Besides, the number, diameter, and length of surrounding blood vessels and the contralateral breast vessels were recorded, and the correlation between characteristics of blood supply of the affected mammary gland and its tumor shape, size, ADC values and pathological type, pathological classification were analyzed. Results Among the 94 patients with breast cancer, 79 of whose blood supply around the lesions increased more than the contralateral side. The main performances of breast artery anomalies and tumor blood vessels in this study lied in that the tumor blood vessels were more concentrated on the edge of the tumor area; the diameter of blood vessel enlarged, the number of terminal small arteries increased and their go-line was irregular and twisted. The number of abnormal arterial around the breast lesions and tumor blood vessels shown in enhanced MR and MIP reconstruction were correlated with the size and the ADC values of the lesions. The maximum diameter and the ADCvalues pathological grading of the tumor were positively correlated with the number of peripheral vascular lesions(r1=0.567, r2=0.23, rs=0.416, P<0.05).The tumor shape and the pathological type were not significantly correlated with the number of surrounding blood vessels. Conclusion Breast cancer is a tumor with rich blood supply. The number of abnormal arterial around the breast lesions and tumor blood vessels are correlated with the size and the ADC values and the pathological grading of infiltrating ductal carcinoma of the lesions while not significantly correlated with the shape, the pathological type of the lesions.
