Part1 The relationship between serum Omentin-1 and adrenal inc identalomasObjective To measure the levels of adrenal incidentalomas(AIs)patient’s serum Ome ntin-1, total cholesterols(TCH), high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-C), low de nsity lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C) and to explore the relationship between them and AIs.Methods Serum omentin-1 levels were measured by ELISA method in 37 patients with AIs(37 cases of postoperative pathology confirmed adenoma) and 20 cases of healthy volunteers.Results Compared with controls, Omentin-1 levels of patients with AIs serum Ome ntin-1, TCH, HDL-C, LDL-C were markedly elevated(P<0.01). Multiple linear r egression analysis showed that only AIs affect the expression levels of serum Om entin-1.Conclusion Omentin-1 levels were increased in AIs patients. The serum Omentin-1 levels were correlated with the onset of AIs, and independent of obesity and ot her biochemical measurements.Part2 Serum levels of adipocytokines omentin-1 and Adiponectin in patients with bladder cancerObjective To measure the levels of Bladder cancer(BCa)patient’s serum Omentin-1, Adiponectin,total cholesterols(TCH), high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDLC), low density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C) and to explore the relationship bet ween them and BCa.Methods Serum omentin-1 and Adiponectinlevels were measured by ELISA method in 42 patients with BCa and 42 cases of healthy volunteers.Results The omentin-1 levels in BCa patients were 1.825(0, 9.155) ng/m L comp ared with 5.205(2.298, 13.153) ng/m L in healthy controls, indicating a dramatic downregulation(p<0.05). In addition, the Adiponectin levels in healthy controls were 4.05(3.225, 4.543) μg/m L and increased significantly to 4.545(4.333, 4.583) μg/m L in BCa patients(p<0.05). No statistically significant differences were noticed in gender, age, body-mass index(BMI), fasting blood glucose(FBG), tot al cholesterol(TCH), triglycerides(TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-c) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-c) in the paired groups.Subseque ntly, significant correlations between serum Adiponectin levels with age(r=0.248, p=0.023) and HDL-C levels(r=0.267, p=0.014) were noticed. In addition, we al so found a reverse correlation between serum Adiponectin levels and BMI(r=-0.243, p=0.026). Furthermore, the logistic regression analysis revealed that BCa wa s the only meaningful influential factor of omentin-1 and Adiponectin concentrati ons were affected by smoking and TC levels.Conclusion Omentin-1 and Adiponectin levels were increased in BCa patients. Th e serum Omentin-1and Adiponectin levels were correlated with the onset of BC a, and independent of obesity and other biochemical measurements.
