Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics of idiopathic hypereosi-nophilic syndrome with gastrointestinal manifestations,to deepen the understanding of IHES,for consultation of IHES.Method: Select 30 patients diagnosed with IHES from First Hospital of Jilin University from January 2004 to December 2014.The clinical materials of 30 cases of patients diagnosed with IHES with gastrointestinal manifestations were analysed,,restrospectively.Result:(1) The average age of 30 patients was(35±16.3)years old,the ratio of male and female was about 1.72:1.The shortest course of IHES was 5d,and the longest was 10 y.(2) 30 patients of IHES patients mainly involved with gastrointestinal tract, abdominal pain in 25 patients, abdominal distension in 21 patients, diarrhea in 12 patients.(3) The white cell count and eosinophil count in peripheral blood of the patients were(16.37+6.64)×109/L å'Œ(7.02 + 4.55)×109/L,respectively. 2 patients were with mild anemia.Ascites exudate cytology examination showed eosinophilinfiltrated.FIP1L1-PDGFRA gene mutation was detected in 12 patients with IHES, and 4 patients were positive.(4) The results of gastroscope or colonoscope showed mucosal hyperemia and edema, scattered bleeding spots, dark red granular hyperplasia, and the colon was affected frecuently.Histology biopsy confirmed that the mucosal was infiltrated by eosinophils. The abdominal CT of 12 patients showed that the walls of stomach or bowel were thickened(5) 26 patients were treated by glucocorticoids,4 patients with Imatinib treatment, the patient’s symptoms had been alleviated; After 1~ 2 years of follow up,2 patients had relapse, othershad no recurrence.Conclusion:(1)IHES involved in the colon most, and the second is the stomach, duodenum, small intestine and rectum;(2)Glucocorticoid therapywas effective in the IHES patients with gastrointestinal manifestations;(3)After the treatment of glucocorticoid, the white blood cells and eosinophils count were significantly reduced;the reexamination of CT showed the intestinal wall thinner than before;(4) For patients with IHES recurrence, the use of glucocorticoid therapy was still effective;...
