Objectives:The aim of this study was to understand the status of pregnant women’s influenza vaccination and investigate pregnant women’s health belief in Changchun, to explore the factors that affect pregnancy women vaccination. Methods:Convenience sampling method was used to investigate pregnant woman who met the requirements by the adapted pregnant women’s influenza vaccination health belief questionnaire. Questionnaire database was established and entered by Epi Data3.1 software. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences(SPSS) 13.0 for Windows was used to perform the statistical analyses. In this study, mean ± standard deviation was used for the measurement data. The count data was described by frequency and constituent ratio. Using t-test, one-way analysis of variance, multiple stepwise regression analysis to analyze different population sociology data. P < 0.05, was difference had statistically significance. Results:1.Overall, the influenza vaccination rate among pregnant woman was 1.8%.2.The total mean score of pregnant women’s influenza vaccination health belief was 53.54±9.16, centesimal system converted into 44.26 points. Among five dimensions, the dimension of “perceived seriousness” highest score was 14.32±3.05, centesimal system converted into 62.13 points; the dimension of “cue to action” lowest score was 8.92±3.20, centesimal system converted into 26.13 points.3.In this study 19.8% pregnant woman clearly recognized that pregnant women were more likely to infection flu than non-pregnant women; 32.4% pregnant woman clearly recognized that the flu was more harmful to pregnant women than nonpregnant women; 14.5% of pregnant women totally agreed influenza vaccination could effectively help them to prevent influenza; 83.2% pregnant woman worried about the harm of flu vaccine to their child; 5.6% of the pregnant women had the flu vaccination recommendations from health care providers.4.Among the demographic-sociology data, occupation, residence type, gestational stage, fertility condition and family member’s influenza vaccination condition had an effect on pregnancy women’s influenza vaccine health belief, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05). Conclusions:According to the investigation, we learnt that the health belief of pregnancy women influenza vaccination was poor, influenza vaccination rate among pregnant woman was low. Most pregnant women were extremely lack of influenza vaccination knowledge, they were not fully aware of the severe consequences of infection with influenza during pregnancy and not awareness of the benefits of influenza vaccination during pregnancy, either. Influenza vaccine safety and the impact of influenza vaccination on the fetus were major barriers to the vaccination of pregnant women. Pregnancy women and the people around didn’t pay close attention to related information, they didn’t promote the behavior of pregnant women to vaccination. Among the demographic-sociology data, occupation, residence type, gestational stage, fertility condition and family member’s influenza vaccination condition were main factors that influenced pregnancy women’s health belief towards influenza vaccine.
