The expression of E-cadherin,β-catenin,Vimentin, CD44v6 and EGFR in lung cancer and ovarian cancer were investigated by Envision immunohistochemical staining technique.The SPSS 13.0 was used for statistical analysis,The differences of these molecules were compared using FISHER exact probability test and P value less than 0.05 was considered statically significant.Result: The expression of E-cadherin is mainly located in cell membrane.The positive expression rates of Ecadherin in lung cancer tissue andin ovarian cancer tissue were 94.1% and 30%,respectively.The expression of β-catenin is mainly located in cell membrane with a little nucleus staining.The positive expression rates of β-catenin in lung cancer tissue and in ovarian cancer tissue were 52.9% and 0.0%,respectively.The expression of Vimentin is mainly located in cytoplasm.The positive expression rates ofVimentin in lung cancer tissue and in ovarian cancertissue were 41.2% and0.0%,respectively.The expression of CD44v6 ismainly located in cell membrane.The positive expression rates of CD44v6 in lung cancer tissue and in ovarian cancer tissue were 88.2% and100%,respectively.The expression of EGFR is mainly located in cell membrane.The positive expression rates of EGFR in lung cancer tissue and in ovarian cancer tissue were 41.2% and0.0%,respectively.The positive expression rates of Vimentin, E-cadherin,β-catenin,EGFR in lung cancer tissue are higher than those in ovarian cancer tissue with significant statistical difference(P<0.05).The positive expression rate of CD44v6 inlung cancer tissue is lower than that in ovarian cancer tissue with no significant statistical difference(P>0.05).Conclusions: The positive rates of Vimentin,EGFR which all increase the risk of metastasis in lung cancer are higher than those in ovarian cancer tissue. The positive rates of E-cadherin,β-catenin which decreases the risk of metastasis in lung cancer tissue are also higher than those in ovarian cancer tissue.
