Objective:To examined the efficacy and safety of a traditional Chinese medicine zaobolin capsule for the treatment of frequent premature ventricular contraction by QT dispersion and heart rate variability.Method:This study is a self controlled.The 80 subjects who had frequent premature ventricular contraction(PVC) were enrolled in the study.Male 35 and female 45, average age was 59.61±12.34 years old. All patients were come from the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University Of Chinese Medicine, the second out-patient clinic. The primary endpoint was the change of QT dispersion,Heartrate-corrected QT dispersion,Heart rate variability before and after four-week medication with zaobolin capsule. The secondary endpoints included change of efficacy and the safety evaluation of zaobolin capsule.Totally 80 orally took zaobolin capsules (three times per day, 4 capsules one time).The QTd,QTcd and HRV were monitored and calculated with 24-hour Holter electrocardiogram before and after medication with zaobolin capsule. Data were analyzed using SPSS22.0 software to evaluate the efficacy of the clinical observations.Results:(1)The zaobolin capsule demonstrated a significantly greater reduction in the number of PVCs(P<0.05).There was no significant differences in 24 hour average heart rate before and after treatment (P>0.05).(2)Compared with before the 4-week treatment, QTd and QTcd was statistically significant(P<0.01), There was no significant differences in QT and QTc before and after treatment (P> 0.05).(3)QT max and QTc max of before and after treatment were obvious different (P<0.05).QT min and QTc min was no different(P<0.05). (4)SDNN、SDANN、SDNNindex、pNN50、RMSSD. LF、were significantly lower than before treatment (P<0.01),and LF/HF ratio were difference(P> 0.05).Conclusions:1.QTd and QTcd in PVCs patients with zaobolin capsule were shorten.2.Zaobolin capsule treatment effectively improved the cardiac autonomic nerve function and heart rate variability.
