Clinical Research Of Huangfu Decoction In The Treatment Of Henoch-Schonlein Purpura(with Syndrome Of Heart Accumulation In Stomach And Intestine) In Children

Purpose:Observing the therapeutic effects ofHuangfu decoction in the treatment of Henoch-Schonlein Purpura(with syndrome of heart accumulation in stomach and intestine) in children to find a better guidance and application for clinical therapy.Methods:A total number of 60 hospitalized children (59 finally completed)with HSP clinical feaures entered the trial and were divided into treatment group(29 cases) and control group(30 cases). Same does of Chinese herbal medicine and western medicine(eg,.Cimetidine、Dipyridamole、Vitamin C、Prednisone) were given to these two groups respectively according to children’·age and weight. The symptomatic score estimated before and after treatment were observed,evaluated the safety and efficacy after 18 days of treatment and the rate of recurrences during a follow-up period of 2 month.Results:1.Efficient comparison:The symptomatic scoreis significantdifference between treatment group pre and post treatment (P<0.05),without one secondary symptom in control group,indicating that Huangfudecoctioncan betterimprove symptoms.Compared to two groups,in the treatment group,22 cases are cured,5 remarkably effective,2 effective and non-ineffective,withacure-remarkable-effectivenessrate 93.10% and total effective rate 100%;in the control group,16 cases are cured,6 remarkably effective,7 effective and lineffective,with a cure-remarkable-effectiveness rate 73.33% and total effective rate 96.67%,there has difference between the two groups (P<0.05).Compared to the symptoms between the two groups, the treated group is better than control group at improving symptoms like skin rashes, constipation, halitosis etc.2.Recurrence rate comparisonrthe recurrence rate of purpura was 18.19% and 43.75% in treatment group and control group with no significant difference (P>0.05).3.security evaluated:No obvious toxicity and side effects are observed in two groups.Conclusion:Huangfu decoction has favorable treatment effect on Henoch-Schonlein purpura in children,with syndrome of heat accumulation in stomach and intestine,with safety clinical application and low recurrence rate comparatively.
